Bachmann Training continues to grow courses and client base

As part of the Bachmann Maritime Services Group, with dedicated Training Centre’s in Lee-on-Solent and Guernsey, the Bachmann Training Division has had a busy and successful year in 2016.

Already offering an increased number of standard training programs covering a range of specialist subjects from Electrical & Gas Engineering, Health & Safety, Fire Fighting, Yacht Maintenance and STCW, through to Catering & Food Handling, the company has also added several customised itineraries over the last few months. These have been specifically tailored to the individual work practice requirements of the clients, and have been successfully carried out in a series of well-planned and executed courses.

For instance MTU, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of large diesel engines and complete propulsion systems has contracted Bachmann Training for a series of bespoke courses.

Quite appropriately considering Bachmann’s associated activities in the management and crewing of Superyachts, MTU have an enviable reputation in the world of motor yachts. Characterised by a unique combination of style, luxury, exclusivity, comfort, top performance and speed, MTU yacht engines are acknowledged as the “first among equals”, and well known for their quality and reliability.

Another company with a reputation for engineering excellence and precision is Britten-Norman, who are the UK’s only independent civil aircraft manufacturer. The company has been producing aircraft continuously for a period spanning six decades.

In addition to manufacturing and supporting the BN2 series of Islander, Trislander and Defender aircraft, Britten-Norman is also a defence contractor specialising in the integration, installation, test and trials of mission equipment.

Britten-Norman’s apprentices also attended a specialised course with Bachmann Training this year, and their Apprentice Manager, Matthew O’Malley, wrote to Keith Austin (Bachmann’s Training Manager) with this positive appraisal:
